Emergency Medicine at Dalhousie is
committed to taking a leadership role at the provincial
and national levels. As part of the Faculty of Medicine,
we are committed to being a strong academic unit by
working with the Medical Schools' administration and
departments to meet their challenges.
As a Department, we will continue to
collaborate with all members in promoting teaching at
undergraduate, postgraduate and CME levels. With the
establishment of the CFPC(EM) and Royal College Programs
in Emergency Medicine we pledge to constantly improve and
strengthen the quality and content of these programs.
Faculty research activity has advanced
and we will continue to build on these projects and seek
out collaborative activities. Through this, we aim to have
Dalhousie's Emergency Medicine recognized for excellence
in research on pre-hospital care, asthma, pain management,
medical education and administration.
